Organic gunpowder tea was one of the first types of tea found by merchants from Europe when they ventured to China. They thought these rolled organic green tea balls were reminiscent of gunpowder balls. Organic gunpowder green tea consists of dark green balls of rolled organic green tea. When fully brewed the whole organic green tea leaves unfurl, exploding into pale green whole leaves floating in the cup. Gunpowder tea has a soft honey or coppery liquor with a herby smooth light taste. Organic green teas are naturally low in caffeine and contain polyphenols which are valued for their antioxidant properties.

Our tea farm is located in Wulong Mountain, Wuyuan County, Jiangxi Province. Wuyuan county has thousands of years history for tea growth & production, fresh tea from Wuyuan were produced & delivered to the Chinese Emperor's family before each Qingming holiday year after year. Rao river & Le'an river derives from here. Highest altitude of Wulong mountain reaches 1580m, plenty of raining, covered by cloud & mist all over the year. We keep to traditional manual handcraft that have been handed down from generation to generation, which helps to preserve the natural taste & nutritional ingredient. All these natural conditions lead to fine quality of our products, which was certified by Ecocert from 2001 till now. NOP certificate also available. We're in the process of applying for FairTrade organization.
